Caley coaches

The Caley coaches get an outing behind NCB No 1 "Lord Roberts" on the occasion of the opening of the Bo'ness signal box, Spring 1999. A special VIP train was run to Birkhill. We have a two ex-Caledonian Railway coaches in our charge - Corridor Third No 1375 of 1921 and a Brake Corridor Composite No. 464 of 1923. These were used extensively on the mainline in the 1970's when some of the pre-grouping Scottish steam locos were running excursions. If you have seen any photos or videos of these trains (Gordon Highlander, Glen Douglas, no.123 etc.) you will have noticed these two vehicles.

There is more information on these coaches on the Historical Vehicle Resoration page.
