LMS 1F 0-6-0T 41708

Former Midland Railway 1F 0-6-0T No. 41708 was built at Derby in December 1880. A Johnson design, this style of engine gained the nickname "half-cab" - must have been a bit traumatic travelling bunker first in bad weather! The rear part of the cab was added sometime between 2003 and 2006.
